• Automated CDN and streaming configuration with Ansible; added CI checks for configuration changes and improved Jenkins deployment notifications.
• Set up a highly available EFK stack for centralized logging and troubleshooting, using HAProxy for load balancing and Fluentd/Fluent Bit to enrich logs with ISP and region data.
• Built a separate, highly available, multi-node Elasticsearch search cluster across multiple datacenters. Migrated Elasticsearch from VMs to bare metal, upgraded clusters, and developed a reusable Ansible role to automate cluster deployment and configuration.
• Improved visibility into service health and traffic anomalies through provisioned Grafana dashboards, Prometheus federation, and Mattermost alerts.
• Built Phoenix and Owlwatch, Python/Flask tools for alert-driven CDN failover and live visibility into server topology and traffic distribution.
• Developed elasticsearch-wrapper to give other teams simple, least-privilege access to Elasticsearch analytics, alongside a custom Prometheus exporter and daily client-speed reports for bandwidth and ISP performance monitoring.
• Unified NGINX VOD and streaming configuration, added HLS caching and media routes, and researched FFmpeg CPU/GPU encoding and playback compatibility.
• Hardened Debian servers and improved Fail2ban filtering; supported datacenter migrations and fixed large-file delivery memory issues.

Completed a team-based SRE internship, deploying containerized applications with Docker, automating infrastructure with Ansible, and configuring NGINX services.
